My week in a nutshell- the first day of school on Monday, complete with a broken air conditioner. Drama going on in my personal life, which has caused MANY late night arguments, lack of sleep, puffy eyes, a sore throat, muscle aches....basically this has been one of the worst weeks of my life. I'm so looking forward to the weekend, it's ridiculous! My best friend/roommate's birthday is this weekend so we'll be celebrating that, which will be good for unwinding. Hope everyone has a good rest of the week!
So I changed my hair yesterday, wanted something different & new for the school year. I also picked up some goodies today while I was at the shore & thought I'd share them with everyone. Please let me know what you think about my hair! Also, I found a way to wear a bolo tie that's been lying around my place for ages. Have a great week people!
Bright color for the rest of summer, neutral color for fall
Put this on a silver chain & bam! I can't believe I didn't think of doing this before!
I used color lifter to try and lighten it up some more (I've been dying it black for awhile), then I did highlights.
I've been talking myself out of these, because everyone has them. But today I caved, because these silly bands are punctuation symbols! How adorable is that??
Today I convinced my man to go shopping with me, which doesn't happen often. We hit Salvation Army and Goodwill, where I hit the jackpot! Thought I'd share some photos with you ladies before I styled all of these pieces, which might take ages. Enjoy, and have a lovely end of the weekend!
Free People tank ($2.99!)
Ann Taylor LOFT ($3.99!)
Army green button-up? Yes please! ($2.99)
My ULTIMATE tee, complete with constellation names!! ($2.99)
So I considered scouring the internet for an undefined amount of time to hunt for pictures, thereby creating the typical "Fall lust" list. However a half hour later, I changed my mind. I'll be honest, it's been a long day and I'm tired (i.e. LAZY). That being said, I'm instead going to type out what items I'm hoping/planning to add to my closet in the months to come, along with some pictures to get myself, and others (you lovely followers!), in the mood for chillier days.
1. Leather ankle boots (in brown & black)
2.Army green jacket (you know the kind)
3. Extravagant jewelry (bold colors/details)
4. Leather jacket that fits like a glove (any color)
5. Slim fit trousers (to be cuffed at the ankles)
This is one of my favorite spots, a park that's connected to the zoo. I'm wearing a skirt that I bought on sale, a year or so ago. My brother & sister in law gave me this necklace for my birthday this year, thanks guys! Hope everyone had a relaxing weekend, I know I did.
This top is one of my (current) favorite things in my closet. I found it at a thrift store for a $1 or so, had my Mom remove the shoulder pads & voila, the perfect blouse! It's a little hard to see in the pictures, but it has a girl and flowers printed on it, at the bottom it reads Moulin Rouge (also one of my favorite movies!). These photos were taken by my man while we were hanging out at his mom's house, aren't the flowers & greenery beautiful? Have a lovely weekend!
